DER 136 Problem

Posted by: magicianchiku on

I have designed the same circuit as it is implemented in the DER136

Few of my observations

1. Getting output only +13V

2.C Pin voltage is getting constant 5.8V

I think f/b is not working..

Where to test and what to test.. No idea..

One circuit is working and another 5 modules are giving the same problem

Any hints or clues pls let me know

Hi magicianchiku,

Thank you for choosing Power Integrations.

DER-152 is an old design and is using one of the earlier versions of Topswitch. Do you require a similar 75W LED driver design? I would suggest that you make use of Power Integrations devices which are intended for lighting applications. An example of such devices is the LYTSwitch-4 which can give you up to 78W maximum output power depending on your design.

We have a design tool which allows users to design transformers as well as provide guidlines to allow the designer to choose circuit components. I am attaching the link for your reference.

Hope this helps.

Hello i have designed it for the lesser amp.

DER 136 IS FOR THE 75 W

AND MINE IS ALMOST 40W.

I have used the sama schematics only transformer is changed.

It is bursting at the AC Line voltage with some load (50%)

Could you please send the PIexpert file? I can help you review your transformer design.
