RoHS Package of DPA422-426

Hi there,

the DC-DC-Converter is availible with RoHS compliant package DIP-8 and SMD-8, but package TO-267-7C (meant for dissipation of more than 1.5 W) is not compliant.

What's the problem with TO-263-7C? Which restricted and hazardous material is used in which concentration?

Is there an alternative with similar cooling properties and same footprint?

We recently qualified a new packaging vendor, so our "R" package (TO-263-7C) BOM is now aligned with the PDIP and SMD BOMs, which should enable RoHS compliance for this package, going forward.

Hi kgoepel,

Please contact your local PI sales office or distributor, and when ordering, ask them for the "S-Spec" part number, which represents the RoHS-compliant version of the R-package. It should be available already. Thank you.

Rather, it is a code you can specify with respect to your particular package requirements as part of your "PI customer number and order".
