+5V in source pin(LNK304GN)

Posted by: acoleto on

Hi, im using the buck converter from an37 design, but  in my board sometimes the MCU is feeded by the lnk source and sometimes by an external isolated source(for programming). I would like to now if there is a problem to put a +5v signal(from the external source) in the lnk output(source pin) with no AC power in the lnk input.

Thanks for Posting your question into forum. Are you feeding the MCu using the Output of the Converter , what type of topology are you using?Could you please send us the schematic. We don't think we have any problem connecting a 5V Signal to the Link Output(Source pin) but however we will verify it and get back to you. In the meanwhile send us the Schematic.

We didn't see any problem connecting external 5V Signal to Source Pin,when AC Power input is off. Did you tested by doing it so, are you seeing any issues?

In this meantime i've tested and nothing went wrong. Thank you for your support.
