SMPS Transformer Design

If you go to design support TAB. You will find a bottom to download PI expert. This software will help with your transformer design. It will select a core for you and calculate the rest of the transformer parameters.

                          Thank you for your software  support but   I want different from that.

                          I would like to inform you that i do not want  software for designing. I want to know the practical way using calculation based on equation , like how to calculate inductance than how to decide core what are the factors to keep in mind while selecting core ect.  

                             Please help me  and provide me guidence foe smps designing I am new in this field so required your

                      valuable guidence.

                             I hope your cooperation please help me .

This is very wide fiels. You need to read a lot to understand more about what you want to know

This is in my opinion the best book about switching power supplies.  The book include some seccions on magnetic design.

                   Sir , I would like to ask that in SMPS circuit at output side  if I am using regulator IC 7812  for 12 V costant supply                  , does it effect the efficiency of SMPS or not.? if yes please provide me guidence that how to maintain constant supply?
