hi
i want to design a 300w product in constant voltage of 12 volts. I have tried the PI expert but the software do not suppoert a high current value (above 12amp) Also top based product do not have a high current output. Which product is the best to use and where can i design it easily.
thanks

Hi Ayush,
Thank you for choosing Power Integrations.
May I know the end application of the power supply that you will be designing? We have a couple of product families which can cater to your requirements each having their own merits and considerations.
HiperTFS is for a two switch forward converter while HiperLCS is for a resonant LLC converter. If you require high efficiency and power factor you are better off using Hiper-LCS with a front end PFC for which you can use HiperPFS-4. If you can accept a slightly lower efficiency you can use HiperTFS. You can use PIexpert for both these designs.
Please refer to the product page for details :

If you check out the TopSwitch datasheets, they have a table about half way through that gives a comparison of the different features and functions available in JX, HX and G.

I've included a PI Expert design file for a 15, 1.5A power supply using a universal input to help you get started.
