planar transformer use in TFS design

Posted by: akasapa on

I want to use a planar transformer (not wire, nor foil but pcb type)  in my 28VDC 10A single output PS design with HiperTFS family. Does PI database have such a design example, guide or AN?

Planar transformers are not recommended for 66 kHz designs.

They would be appropriate for 250-300 kHz.  Look up our HiperLCS (LLC controller) product for that.

which product should i use for 115V 400Hz input 28V 10A output with planar transformer and without PFC circuit?

HiperLCS (LLC) running at 300+ kHz.

What is the input voltage range?

input AC voltage is 115VAC 400Hz within +-10% limit.

I do not have a hold up time requirement.

Then the minimum input voltage for the LLC can be as high as 125 VDC.
