Powerint for good forward design

Posted by: lucious77 on

Hi,

Does PowerInt suggest any device for good forward converter from 50W up to 250W multioutput? Is "Hiper" suitable for that?

There is still good example (in my opinion of course) of forward design using TOP-GX ... or maybe there is no such device from PowerInt which should be used in that case? I just need to know if forwards (50W up to 250W) based on PI are recommended/possible at all?

Thx,
M.

At the moment we do not have a device that we suggest for forward converters. Please do check the website for updates in this regard.

Are we talking about "short time" or I should rather focus on "something else"? Don't get me wrong with this question but I need to make long time decision, so if PI doesn't have such solution for forwards I have to choose someone else I'm afraid.

Many thanks,
M.

BTW: Doesn't Hiper work well as forward converter? Its power range is between 150 up to 500W so if real power is less than 100W will it go unstable or what? How to read this power range?

Thx,
M.

HiperPLC is for LLC resonant converters...
