LNK302 and LNK362

Posted by: pf26 on

Hello,

I have it hard to find LNK302P. So I used LNK362P instead. It seems to work but I have a 300mW no-load power consumption (unisolated high side buck opto feedback).
Is it safe to use LNK362 instead of LNK302 in this config?
Would the no-load power consumption decrease if I used LNK302P instead ?
Thanks,
Pierre.

The LNK-302 has fewer functions as compared to the LNK36X family and so the LNK302 should have less no load consumption.

Hi:

I'm new to PI forum so I appologise if I'm writing on the wrong place.

I'm using LNK302 with 230V~ input to produce 24VDC to supply a light switch. When switching inductive loads (e.g. ferromagnetic ballats) the module explodes. Attached is the schematic. If I use a normal RC power supply it works fine and never blows up. How can I protect the circuit? I prefer using LNK302 because I need universal power supply range (110 to 230 V~).

Any help is welcome.

Hi,

Yes, you can use LNK362 instead. There should not be much difference in no load input power.

thanks
