BWSC 2025 - aCentauri Placed Top10 in Qualifying
The eve of Bridgestone World Solar Challenge saw the completion of dynamic scrutineering and qualifying. The aCentauri Solar Racing's Silvretta solar race car set a team record with a 2:14.65 lap time, securing the No. 10 starting spot in the 26-team Challenger Class.
Silvretta solar race car incorporates a DC-DC converter featuring PowiGaN-based InnoSwitch3-AQ switcher IC, provided by Power Integrations. It achieves 95% efficiency across both light and full loads with a broad output range of 5 to 60 W.
